Hannah’s 2nd

I would love to say that it has been rainbows and butterflies, but living abroad and away from friends and family gets really low on tough days. Despite the shortcomings, I’m thankful for having met some lovely, strong-minded people who really look out for us on this side of the world. Our wonderful friends’ daughter turned 2 and we celebrated with another macaron tower this year.

These macarons are flavored with dark chocolate and black sesame, Y’s favorite. Happy birthday Hannah!

BTS – walking it over to the party. Thankfully it made it, despite the wind.

Hannah’s first birthday

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve made macarons. The request was pastel for Hannah’s first birthday. Had to choose foliage to match!

The pink macarons are filled with a mixed berry ganache, green with dark chocolate and green tea, blue with dark chocolate and sea salt.

I love filling macarons with ganache much more than buttercream. It’s rich yet smooth and flavourful.

Baby Vera’s First Month

Embracing simplicity with this clean cake covered with yellow buttercream, and adorned with powder pink and white eustomas. Nothing too lavish, perfect for a little girl’s celebration.

The pink forest flavour (rose, raspberry and pistachio) is sitting under the yellow buttercream.  Would’ve loved to take some photos of it sliced.
