Cake churning passes by so fast and sometimes I don’t even get a chance to catch a breather and really absorb everything that’s been done. We participated in the #OCDessertFair2015 in July this year and I’m really thankful for the experience and all the lovely people that I met throughout the journey. Of course, I also have to thank my number 1 salesman, S, for taking over when my introverted self takes over. We had our popular millionaire’s chocolate cake; rose, raspberry and pistsachio cake, passionfruit and caramelized banana cheesecake; salted caramel, hazelnut and dark chocolate tart, white chocolate and cranberry cookies, earl grey and lemon bundt and cinnamon latte walnut cake.

We didn’t manage to take pictures as we set up just before the crowd came out so that the cream didn’t melt in the heat! But thankful that everyone was so ravenous that they didn’t bother so much. Haha. We have handmade tartlets (assorted fruits),  macarons (earl grey lavender and vanilla raspberry), dark chocolate bundt, brownies, millionaire’s chocolate cake, red velvet cupcakes; rose, raspberry and pistachio cupcakes, apple crumble loaf and lemon drizzle loaf cakes.

Jonus & Evangeline’s Engagement Party

Processed with VSCOcam with a6 preset

This was just a little something we did for the lovely couple. I find that engagement parties are a good way to try something new and not just stick to the usual wedding colour palettes. Most people choose pink, purple or blue. But I was really happy when the lovely couple gave us room to create. It’s always very fulfilling, truly doing something you picture in your mind, when it comes to styling, flavours etc. I was very happy to find out that my partner in crime, Wini, was also asked to provide the centre-piece cake! Which made the whole process very smooth.

Winifred has taken wonderful pictures with her pro camera, my make shift editing has not done it justice. Check her post out instead!
