LOGISTICS

HOW TO ORDER?

As we are an online cake store, all whole cakes and desserts must be pre-ordered.
Please visit our cococart site to view available dates (unavailable dates will be marked as closed) and place your preorder for whole cakes and slices.

WHEN TO ORDER?

Whole Cakes (layer cakes, cheesecakes, tarts, etc.)

  • Require at least 3 days’ notice.
  • Example: For delivery/collection on Saturday (16.3.24), please place your order by Wednesday (13.3.24).

Cake-by-the-Slice (Slice Sale)

  • Slice sale dates and menus are released on Instagram up to 2 weeks in advance.
  • Preorders remain open until the stated closing date (usually 5–7 days before the sale) or until sold out, whichever comes first.

HOW ARE THE ORDERS PACKED?

Whole cakes are packed in cake boxes, corresponding sizes to boxes listed below:
Dimensions are L x W x H in inches.

  • 5–6″ cakes → 8 × 8 × 5.5″ box
  • 7–8″ cakes → 10 × 10 × 6″ box
  • 6–8″ cheesecakes → 9 × 9 × 4″ box
  • 6″ tarts → 7 × 7 × 2.8″ box
  • 9″ tarts → 10 × 10 × 5.5″ box

Slice Sale
Each slice is packed in an individual 4.5 × 4 × 3″ box.

PACKAGING & BAGS

Cooling materials (cooler bags, ice packs, dry ice, etc.) are not included by default but can be added to your order as an extra purchase.

A brown paper bag is provided with every order. Each bag can fit up to 2 cakes.

For smaller desserts, we will pack them together in as few bags as possible to reduce waste.

If you require separate packaging, please indicate this in the cart notes at checkout.


COMMUNICATION


ORDER REMINDERS & DELIVERY UPDATES
For Flexi Delivery or Slice Sale Delivery, you will receive a WhatsApp message or SMS on the morning of delivery to let you know when your order is scheduled to depart. This helps narrow down your waiting time.

A reminder email will be sent one day before your scheduled pickup or delivery with the relevant details.



PICK UP DETAILS

Pick up timing is according to selected one hour time slot between 10am-3pm.
Additional week day time slot available between 5pm-6.30pm.

The pick up point is currently located about a 5 minutes walk away from Simei MRT (green line) and about 12 minute walk away from Upper Changi MRT (blue line).

We understand that there may be unforeseen circumstances, however, if order is not collected on the day of pick up by 3pm or timing agreed on, the order will be forfeited and donated.

Transport Advice
It’s best to transport the cake in a car with the air-conditioning turned on to full blast as our weather is hot.
Do not place under direct sunlight.
It’s advised to refrigerate your cake within 45 mins – 1 hour from collection.
Do not leave the cake in the car with the air-conditioning turned off for more than 15 minutes.

Can I call a grabexpress or lalamove instead?
Yes, you may schedule it on your own, but we will not be responsible for any damages once the item has been handed over – this would be considered “pick up/collection”.

Recommended tips on scheduling your own lalamove/grabexpress:
1. On our website, select pick up & timing
2. In the cart notes, for example, type in, “calling my own grabexpress”.
3a. On lalamove or grabexpress, select a car for frosted cakes or refrigerated items – inform them to deliver within 1 hour and place the order on the front or back seat floor and not the boot/trunk – items should be in air-conditioning until it reaches you or it will melt.
3b. Select motorcycle if you have ordered: cookies/ unfrosted cakes / non-refrigerated items
4. Inform the driver to state your NAME and ORDER ID so that we can handover the correct order – order will only be handed over upon receiving your order ID.
5. Once timing has been scheduled, drop us a whatsapp message or SMS.


DELIVERY DETAILS

As our frosted cakes are susceptible to melting and some items are fragile, we have engaged a responsible 3rd party delivery service and do not use grab or lalamove for whole cake deliveries to ensure that you receive your order in the best condition possible.

If no one can receive the order, please leave a cooler bag with ice packs that can fit the size of our cake boxes at your front door with a note on it to indicate it’s for ‘Little Favors’.

Once order is handed over to the 3rd party delivery service, we aren’t responsible for any damages occured during delivery.

ALL DELIVERY TYPE EXCLUSIONS: Restricted areas, offshore islands & Jurong Island.
OUTSKIRT LOCATION DEFINITION (all addresses): Sentosa/Changi Airport/Tuas/Lim Chu Kang
CBD LOCATION DEFINITION (excluding residential addresses): Raffles Place, Tanjong Pagar, City Hall, Clarke quay/Marina Bay/Marina Bay Sands

Delivery options:
1. Flexi delivery between 10am-4pm at a flat rate of $22
This option is recommended if you’re able to receive the order that will arrive any time between 10am-4pm.
This delivery option is NOT available to outskirt locations, CBD locations, hotels, hospitals, shopping malls
Depending on the traffic flexi delivery usually arrives within 1-2 hours from departure.

2. Specific one hour time slot between 10am-4pm at a flat rate of $25
This option is if you require a specific time slot that will arrive between a one hour time frame.
E.g. 11am-12pm
This delivery option includes residential addresses, CBD & malls.
Excludes outskirt locations, OFFSHORE ISLANDS e.g. SENTOSA, HOTELS & HOSPITALS.

3. Premium location delivery: flexi drop between 10am-4pm flat rate of $35
This option is for delivery SENTOSA and outskirt locations, hotels, hospitals.
A specific one hour time range has to be chosen.
e.g. 11am-12pm

4. Slice sale/Pastry Box delivery between 10am-7pm: $12
This option is for slices only and order will arrive any time between 10am-7pm and time slot selection will not be available, estimated arrival times will not be provided.
Depending on traffic and the delivery schedule, the order may arrive up to 4-6 hours from the departure time.

Additional exclusions for slice sale delivery:
1. No whole cakes – please select flexi delivery
2. Residential addresses only (no delivery to hospitals, hotels, shopping malls, CBD locations and outskirt locations.
3. OPTION IS ONLY AVAILABLE ON SLICE SALE DATE – orders will immediately be cancelled & a refund will be issued if you’ve selected this option on any other date than the slice sale date or if any of the terms have been breached.

UNSUCCESSFUL DELIVERIES


In the event where the recipient is absent/unreachable upon arrival, our driver will leave the items on the door/gate or an appropriate place & forward photo proof for delivery completion.
Should redelivery to an alternate address be required or sent back to pick up address, the customer will be charged for both initial and re-routed trip and order will not be handed over until payment has been made.
Re-delivery fee: $35.
Return to collection point fee: $15
This will also depend on slot availability.
If there is no slot available for a redelivery if requested, but re-delivery fee has been paid, we will send the item back to you at the end of our operations day at a timing that suits our schedule.
48 hours notice is required for change of address/date, if not, a charge of $10 will be applicable.

PAYMENT TERMS

  1. Paynow – not available overseas, make payment by credit card if this option isn’t available
  2. Credit/debit card – no minimum spend, credit card fees apply.

Corporate/Large Orders:
•⁠ ⁠Do you accept credit terms for bulk purchases/corporate orders?
No, we currently do not accept credit terms for bulk orders. Full payment is required to confirm and proceed with an order at least 2 weeks prior to fulfilment date.

•⁠ ⁠Why is full payment necessary for bulk orders?
Our products are perishable, and to avoid any wastage, full payment is required upfront this is to maintain the quality of our products.


CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY FOR COCOCART ORDERS

Please contact us through the email receipt or drop us a whatsapp message/SMS with your name and order ID to inform us of the cancellation.

Whole cake cancellation policy:

If the order is cancelled within 24 hours from order placed, a full refund (excluding credit card/payment processing fees) will be issued.

If the order is cancelled 5 or more days before the order’s due date, a refund will not be issued, but store credits will be issued that cannot be exchanged for cash. The store credits can be spent at a later date which expires within 3 months from your order’s fulfilment date. Store credits will be issued as a discount code that must be used during check out through our website. It will be issued 7 days from cancellation. Items purchased using this discount code are final and order cannot be changed/edited/cancelled.

For example, if the order’s fulfilment date is Saturday (16.3.24), we should receive your cancellation request no later than Monday (11.3.24).


If the order is cancelled 4 or less days before the order’s due date, the whole receipt will be charged.
As we make everything to order and operate on a pre-order basis, ingredients and preparation would have already begun.
For example, if the order’s fulfilment date is Saturday (16.3.24), we should receive your cancellation request no later than Tuesday (12.3.24).

Slice sale & pineapple tart cancellation policy:
No refunds allowed 24 hours after payment has been made for slice sale items and pineapple tarts.

We try our best to accommodate to situations, however, ingredients would have been procured and time spent to prepare the order prior to the fulfilment date would have already begun.
Cancellation policy applies regardless of any situation.

EDITING AN ORDER

Editing a whole cake order:
Change of cake flavor/item:
Can be made as long as the change is of equal or more value and if there are 3 or more days until your order is due, after which, changes will not be accepted
For example, if your order is due on Saturday (16.3.24), we would need to know your order changes on or before Wednesday (13.3.24).

Editing a slice sale order:
Changes allowed: Mode of collection can be changed up to 24 hours after payment has been made.
Changes not allowed: once payment has been made, collection date and selection of items are final.

Editing a pineapple & parmesan linzer tart order:
Changes allowed: If there are 3 or more days until your order is due changes to quantity or collection date can be changed, after which, the respective changes will not be accepted
For example, if your order is due on Saturday (16.3.24), we would need to know your order changes on or before Wednesday (13.3.24).
Changes not allowed: If there are 2 or more days until your order is due, change in date of fulfilment is strictly not allowed and items will be forfeited if not collected.

Change of pick up time for all order types:
Our schedule is planned around the pick up time selected between 10am-3pm, so changes are subject to our schedule availability – we will try our best to accommodate to unforeseen circumstances.

Change of delivery address/delivery time/date of fulfilment for all order types:
48 hour notice is required for change of address/date, if not, a charge of $10 will be applicable.

OUR PRODUCT

WHOLE CAKES

We make-to-order rustic buttercream cakes with well-loved 21st century flavours, crafted with the least amount of sugar possible, balanced flavours and natural ingredients/design. These buttercream cakes are baked in round (classic cake) or square (party sharing desserts) shapes.
We also have a selection of other desserts like unfrosted cakes under the snacking bakes section and cheesecakes.
Whole cakes are available all-year-round and some items may change seasonally.

CAKE MESSAGE OPTIONS

CAN I GET A MESSAGE PIPED ONTO A CAKE?
We don’t pipe messages on classic cakes, but you may opt for a small printed banner that’s held on toothpicks for a personalized message or a handwritten gift card if it’s a gift – both options are free-of-charge.

ARE YOU ABLE TO MAKE THE CAKES LESS SWEET?


No, sugar levels are fixed.
Our cakes are made with natural/simple ingredients as much as possible and are sweetened with as little sugar as possible without compromising on taste and is not cloying.
Cane sugar is still required for the cakes to have structure and retain moisture. We have gotten reviews from older folks that our cakes “aren’t too sweet”.

DIETARY RESTRICTIONS


Most of our flavors contain dairy, eggs, sugar, and traces of nuts.
Please note that we work in an environment with heavy usage of tree nuts specifically almonds, hazelnuts, pecans, pistachios and macadamias.

We currently do not offer egg-free/vegan alternatives for our cakes – we’re working on it!
Gluten free (GF) products: burnt cheese cake range, chocolate buckwheat tart and twice baked chocolate cake
Dairy free (DF) products: zucchini, olive oil and walnut muffin

We are unable to fulfil requests to remove ingredients/components/alcohol in the standard range of cakes.

Are you Halal/able to remove alcohol?

We are not halal certified, but we do not use pork/lard in our cakes.
We aren’t able to remove alcohol in certain flavours if it is a main ingredient in the cake. Our vanilla extract and other various flavour extracts contain alcohol.

CAKE CUTTING SERVICE

Can you cut the cake for me?
Yes, we can pre-cut your cake upon request. A fee of $5 applies for this service.

How will the cake be cut?
To preserve the overall look and structure of the cake, we only cut according to our recommended portion sizes. This ensures each slice is neat and presentable.

Can I request specific slice sizes or shapes?
At the moment, custom slicing requests aren’t available, as they may affect the integrity of the decoration and structure.

CAKES-BY-THE-SLICE

Once a month, we host a slice sale where you can try a slice of cake.

What to expect?
We usually have a variety of desserts that are on our regular menu, but also may not be available regularly as we may get in specialty ingredients in small quantities from time to time.

Special delivery rates
We offer a more affordable delivery rate for the slice sale and is usually delivered by a 3rd party delivery service but also, may be delivered using grabexpress or lalamove.

Please note: final look may vary; fruits & florals depend on seasonal availability. More fruit variety = higher cost.

What we don’t do:
•⁠ ⁠Character cakes
•⁠ ⁠Fondant cakes / sugar flower art
•⁠ ⁠Intricate vintage piping or highly specific themed designs

For affordable, smaller celebrations, we offer an option through our website under the tab, “build your own cake” which are fixed designs and flavors. The colors can be customized and cake sizes are available from 5″ to 8″ round cakes.

Our commitment to working towards sustainability

Take what you need, and not in excess.
In this industry of “take-out” style food concepts, packaging waste is inevitable. We do however try our best to minimise the use of plastic and disposables. That means that we also do not offer free candles and plastic cake knives, but are available for purchase. Orders are packed with minimal packaging as much as possible, extra bags are available upon request, but we encourage everyone to be mindful of the use of disposables.
Careful sourcing of ingredients and materials are constantly a work-in-progress to bring you delicious cakes while being mindful of the world to the best of our ability.
