We’ve been doing the same ol’ flavours at homestolife for the longest time. This weekend, we changed up the menu a little. 🙂
Flavours this weekend are lemon & earl grey (decorated with figs, blueberries and gold dust), chocolate, coffee, walnut brittle and jaffa cake (orange cake with dark chocolate).
This week’s colour scheme seems to be following a pattern! Nevertheless, I love it! This 6″ rustic pink & peach Smores cake was done for my ex-school mate Julie! We use to sing together in choir… good times! Really really miss it.
Beneath the rustic cookie cream, is moist chocolate sponge, dark chocolate ganache, toasted marshmallow frosting and handmade shortbread.
Always get distracted while I’m in the cold room. FOCUS!
Been experimenting with a spiced apple and speculoos cake this week. Enjoying every last bit of freedom I have until a new chapter begins! Next time though, I will DEFINITELY get crunchy speculoos and sneak in some apple pie filling. Can almost imagine its taste in my mouth now! Ah… the life of someone who’s constantly thinking of food…
