Last year’s Christmas bake sale

I LOVE Christmas. I don’t know how often I say this, but Christmas is the King of all holidays, especially for baking. There is just something so magical about it.

Last year, during the lockdown, we were doing bake sale boxes. It was quite possibly one of the most exhausting yet satisfying things I’ve done alone. The box consisted of a mini gingersnap date cake, kinako sando, five macarons, 5 cookies, pâte de fruits, chocolate tart, AND ice cream.

Macarons: Matcha, lingonberry cheesecake, lemon EVOO poppy seed, dark milk chocolate and hazelnut, dark chocolate and smoked fudge.

A festive visual feast.

Hannah’s 2nd

I would love to say that it has been rainbows and butterflies, but living abroad and away from friends and family gets really low on tough days. Despite the shortcomings, I’m thankful for having met some lovely, strong-minded people who really look out for us on this side of the world. Our wonderful friends’ daughter turned 2 and we celebrated with another macaron tower this year.

These macarons are flavored with dark chocolate and black sesame, Y’s favorite. Happy birthday Hannah!

BTS – walking it over to the party. Thankfully it made it, despite the wind.

A short hello,

Earl Grey Lemon Cake

It has officially been 7 years since Little Favors first began. Time flies!!

I’ve been away in San Francisco working hard to pursue my pastry dreams in fine dining for the past 4 and a half years. It’s crazy to look back and see everything that we went through. It was tough, but fulfilling. I came back to Singapore for about 2 months after being away for the past 2 years and it’s so heart warming to see that everyone still remembers Little Favors and her flavor.

I miss baking wholesome items so much and sincerely hope to be able to restart Little Favors when I come back. To celebrate, we decided to hold a small giveaway to some lucky people who received slices of earl grey cake to show my appreciation to the community!
